Volunteers play a large part in the Hooked on Fishing organization. We are only as strong as the dedication of the volunteers. When the volunteer numbers are strong and willing, they create an environment for the participants to have the experience of a lifetime. We hope to expand on our volunteer base by fifty people. With these additional volunteers, Hooked on Fishing will be able to serve more participants and exceed our park goals.
We are looking for volunteers to do the following:
- Fishing Assistants; helping participants take fish off the hook and putting worms on, replacing hooks, fixing tangles, etc.
- Tackle Maintenance; preparing rods and reels before events, and checking equipment after fishing events
- Maintenance; general upkeep up the grounds (mowing, weed eating, etc...)
- Equipment; setting up and tearing down for events
- Feeding Fish; maintaining our fish feeding program using our electronic feeders
- Fundraising; help plan and organize fundraising events to raise money needed for operations and park improvements
- Marketing; help develop media pieces and direct marketing ideas to get the word out and increase usage of the park
